Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs said Thursday that the voting machines Republicans turned over to private companies as part of their audit of the 2020 election are no longer safe for use in future elections.

In a letter sent to Maricopa County officials and shared with NBC News, Hobbs, a Democrat, cited security concerns about losing the chain of custody over the equipment when it was handed over to the auditors and urged the county to get new machines. If it does not, her office would consider decertifying the equipment involved in the audit, she wrote. That would remove the machines from service.

maybe Cyber Ninjas should be charged with paying for new machines instead of the tax payer ... if Cyber Ninjas won't allow the chain of custody to be followed then they should be responsible for the replacement of new machines ... maybe any one who feels the voter has been cheated and won't follow the chain of command, maybe they to should pay for new machines and also pay for the machines they used to see if they have been altered ... if they are altered then their analysis shouldn't be allowed to the public ... where if they do they are fined and jail for a couple years ... this way it will stop people like Cyber Ninjas from tampering with machines ....

Why would they pay for new machines? These Democrats crying about the audit would have to prove they damaged or altered them in some way. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure that Dominion or whoever supplies their machines have a contract with the city,state etc. Dominion will probably sue the shit out of them if they try to go somewhere else unless they charge the tax payers the cost of covering the contract.

They can make any accusation they choose but proving forensically that anyone tampered with those machines isn't something they will accomplish. Those kinds of intrusions leave an audit trail. All we're seeing here is an advance shot across the bow to convince their people that everything was legal and aboveboard and no cheating was even possible. My guess is that the private corporation experts will copy those drives prior to returning them to the state. Any attempts to lie about the state of the storage devices or information contained on the drives will be easily disprovable in court.

Funny, I'd say it won't end well for ANY American if our electoral process is no longer trusted by the people. You folks don't seem capable of grasping the idea that we ALL have to be on board with this process or it all will fail. Surely you can't imagine that tens of millions of Americans can just be mocked, ignored, and ruled over against their will? Or do you? In light of how the Democrat party and its media 5th column came totally unhinged after Trump won in 2016, I'd think you'd be able to know what it feels like to distrust and dismiss electoral results and demand an investigation that returns trust to the voters. Or does that right only exist for your party members?

This next midterm election could potentially be the last to occur in an undivided America. I'll make a simple prediction. If the Republican legislatures pass state laws that gain the trust of their constituents and the House and or Senate flips Red then I expect you and your party and its media whores to categorically reject the result, claim fraud based on "voter suppression" and in short order, set the country's largest cities on fire.

If your Representatives and Senators ram through HR1 and federalize state elections then no result from that point forward will be accepted as legitimate by Republicans. So, what then? Will your president send in the troops? Do you begin to see where this is headed?

The voting machines were just fine until the unqualified " frauditors got their hands on them. They do need to be replaced.
