Marco Rubio announces military actions for "Operation Fury" have been concluded.

Oh? Did they take out full page ads against the accused too? I believe the City apologized with a big settlement.
Read his actual full page letters to Mayor Koch.

[Headline] Bring Back the Death Penalty, Bring Back Our Police

Donald Trump

What has happened to our City over the past ten years? What has happened to law and order, to the neighborhood cop we all trusted to safeguard our homes and families, the cop who had the power under the law to help us in times of danger, keep us safe from those who would prey on innocent lives to fulfill some distorted inner need. What has happened to the respect for authority, the fear of retribution by the courts, society and the police for those who break the law, who wantonly trespass on the rights of others? What has happened is the complete breakdown of life as we knew it.

Donald Trump

Many New York families -- White, Black, Hispanic and Asian -- have had to give up the pleasure of a leisurely stroll in the Park at dusk, the Saturday visit to the playground with their families, the bike ride at dawn, or just sitting on their stoops -- given them up as hostages to a world ruled by the law of the streets, as roving bands of wild criminals roam our neighborhoods, dispensing their own vicious brand of twisted hatred on whomever they encounter.

Donald Trump

At what point did we cross the line from the fine and noble pursuit of genuine civil liberties to the reckless and dangerously permissive atmosphere which allows criminals of every age to beat and rape a helpless woman and then laugh at her family's anguish? And why do they laugh? They laugh because they know that soon, very soon, they will be returned to the streets to rape and maim and kill once again and yet face no great personal risk to themselves.'

Donald Trump

Mayor Koch has stated that hate and rancor should be removed from our hearts. I do not think so. I want to hate these muggers and murderers.. They should be forced to suffer and, when they kill, they should be executed for their crimes. They must serve as examples so that others will think long and hard before committing a crime or an act of violence. Yes, Mayor Koch, I want to hate these murderers and I always will. I am not looking to psychoanalyze or understand them, I am looking to punish them. If the punishment is strong, the attacks on innocent people will stop.

Donald Trump

I recently watched a newscast trying to explain the "anger in these young men". I no longer want to understand their anger. I want them to understand our anger. I want them to be afraid. How can our great society tolerate the continued brutalization of its citizens by crazed misfits? Criminals must be told that their CIVIL LIBERTIES END WHEN AN ATTACK ON OUR SAFETY BEGINS!

Donald Trump

When I was young, I sat in a diner with my father and witnessed two young bullies cursing and threatening a very frightened waitress. Two cops rushed in, lifted up the thugs and threw them out the door, warning them never to cause trouble again. I miss the feeling of security New York's finest once gave to the citizens of this City.

Donald Trump

Let our politicians give back our police department's power to keep us safe. Unshackle them from the constant chant of "police brutality" which every petty criminal hurls immediately at an officer who has just risked his or her life to save another's. We must cease our continuous pandering to the criminal population of this City. Give New York back to the citizens who have earned the right to be New Yorkers. Send a message loud and clear to those who would murder our citizens and terrorize New York -- BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY AND BRING BACK OUR POLICE!

For Iran and the US it started with Ike. We've been waging asymmetrical warfare against them ever since the regime we backed and supplied for 25 years was overthrown in 79. They had become a regional power in the area covered by the Carter Doctrine. They were not a threat to the access to the worlds oil supplies. It was the greatest strategic blunder since Bush invaded Iraq on false pretenses. It might even prove to be a greater blunder than the Iraq invasion and occupation.
Does anyone but me wonder if the post above is true. I note inaccuracies.

Yer memory needs refreshing

In 1989 five black and Latino boys were wrongfully convicted of raping a woman jogging in New York City. Leading the charge against them was a real estate mogul whose divisive rhetoric can be found in his presidential campaign today

Just two weeks after the Central Park attack, before any of the boys had faced trial and while Meili remained critically ill in a coma, Donald Trump, whose office on Fifth Avenue commanded an exquisite view of the park’s opulent southern frontier, intervened.

He paid a reported $85,000 to take out advertising space in four of the city’s newspapers, including the New York Times. Under the headline “Bring Back The Death Penalty. Bring Back Our Police!” and above his signature, Trump wrote: “I want to hate these muggers and murderers. They should be forced to suffer and, when they kill, they should be executed for their crimes. They must serve as examples so that others will think long and hard before committing a crime or an act of violence.”
This is the actual publication he paid to have newspapers publish for him at his cost of a lot of money.

Like pedo- Trump, giving cover to himself and his buddies in the Epstein files, those Leftists?
It is now clear you never read the Epstein files. Those files were assembled by police and the prosecutor of Epstein to prosecute him. They arrested Epstein and never have they arrested Trump for the Epstein crimes.

Yes, the current military operation is now known as Project Freedom to reset the congressional approval clock that's called for by legislation.

We'll check yer Crystal Ball in 6 months.
🥱

You, too.

Personally, I am a bit pessimistic about the GOP’s electoral prospects in the midterms.

But, it still does remain possible that the shitlib propaganda media has been beating the drums of gloom and doom for the Republicans a bit too much.

Did you think the tents were the proper solution for guests to have to be held in to gather and have enjoyment? Trump uses the small theater in the White house for select guests.
They were good enough for POTUS before Primma Donna Donny came along. But now it's ok for him & his lackey's in Congress to loot The Treasury for his vanity project?

I have an idea. How bout you & your MAGAT cult start a fundraiser to pay for this project so that Trump & his cronies don't have to wine & dine in a tent & take it out of YOUR ends instead of fleecing the rest of us who believe $400 million fu**ing dollars can be better used elsewhere?

The boys were lucky to be exonerated. Texas last week executed a convict whose cousin now says he committed the crime and not the party executed.

I have a better idea. Citizens who believe the property the White house sits on is large enough for a ball room to accommodate almost 1000 people and will be in use for a very long time and is long ago needed. Trump rounded up volunteers to pay for it so rest your soul, you contribute nothing.

I am not very much a fan of the death penalty. But I’m not an absolutist about it.

One of the biggest problems with any execution is that it eliminates any meaningful prospect of correcting a mistaken conviction.

On the other hand, if a convicted inmate got a lifetime imprisonment with no possibility of parole, and that inmate knows that there is no death penalty available to use against him, that inmate could essentially kill any other inmate or prison guard with zero fear of legal consequences. (Another conviction and another full life-sentence has no power of deterrence if the inmate is never getting out, anyway.).

We need to be able to prevent that. We need the tool of a death sentence for our own well being. It’s called “specific deterrence.” Once he’s executed, he will never again take any human life.
