He probably figured they were not at the range so nobody was armed. Before I'd risk my life like that I'd want to make sure it was worth it, like robbing a Brinks truck or something like that. Years ago some lowlife shot and killed our mailman. The guy had five bucks on him. They found the killer and he's spending the rest of his life behind bars like an animal for five bucks.
