The thing is, the more they turn to the extreme left - socialism, Islamic terrorist sympathizers, antisemites, illegal aliens over citizens, etc. etc., - the smaller the percentage of leftists will remain.

I figure there is a hardcore extreme leftist contingent of about 25% - 30%. After the Islamic communist Jew-hater destroys New York City, if G-d forbid he wins, that number will shrink.

As much as I don’t want an enemy of America to win the mayorship of our largest city, perhaps the short-term pain is necessary to show every sane American the damage the Left will cause.
