Bullshit. Hamas and every other Islamic terrorist organization deliberately target civilians rather than military personnel who can fight back. They are cowards hiding behind an uncivilized sixth century religion. Most of the western terrorist organizations with the almost singular exception of the IRA operated the same way. The ICC is anything but a just court. The only people it has brought charges are those without the power to either attack the court or defend themselves. It is a public opinion organization.

Where have I ever criticized any of those bombings? I think the atomic bombings were probably unnecessary because Japan was already defeated and looking to surrender on the terms we gave them anyway.

Jesus, I remember when I was about 12-14 years old, a bunch of us getting together over one kid's house one summer day with a 100 pound barbell on his back driveway. Good morning, Greta. Let's put aside the hyperbole and philosophy and talk facts. I'm speaking with somebody whose great-grandfather worked with Theodor Herzl to create Israel. His grandfather helped make that state a beautiful place. There are forests dedicated to my grandmother in Israel, and I was raised and taught by people who had the numbers on their arms, who told me what the .. – the Gestapo – was really like.

I have watched in my life as the Israelis have tried to deal with the Palestinian question, which is based on a lie called the knockabout – Naqba – which never happened. The Arabs were welcomed into the state of Israel. Many served in the army. But there were some – and you need to remember, during World War II, the people in control of that area were very friendly with the Third Reich. That is the people that, when the state was created, said, "I'm not going to live next to the dirty Jews. We will together attack and annihilate them," which has been their idea since then.
It is the only real idea of genocide that is in there.
What Israel has ever done to the Palestinians is not genocide.
They are not a single ethnic group, like Armenians. They have brothers in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and no one is talking about killing all the Arabs. The only genocide preached here is Hamas.

That is their goal and a drive. In 1967, I was on the beach in Gaza, a beautiful stretch of Mediterranean each. They could have been developed with all of the foreign aid that came in, and they never did it. In 1967, my last day in Israel, I spent hours in a calm shelter as insurgents attacked the cultural school I was staying at. Real "dangerous military target." A bunch of children and teenagers at an agricultural school. I had to spend eight hours in the bomb shelter as the IDF fought them off – and dealt with them in the only way one can deal with them: to kill them.

And through the years, I have watched Israel try to trade land, try to bend over backwards to suit these people, to give them a chance. But the same idea of "I'm not going to live next to the dirty Jew" is there.
