A majority of Europeans would support a Trump-style ban on further migration from mainly Muslim countries, according to a poll of more than 10,000 people in 10 countries. An average of 55 percent of those surveyed for London-based think tank, Chatham House, agreed that immigration from Muslim-majority countries should be halted. The poll released Tuesday comes after a bruising 18 months that have seen a string of terrorist massacres linked to radical Islam as well as record-setting levels of migration that have created social tensions across the continent​

And Trumps order did WHAT EXACTLY to stop the problem?

The problem was citizens coming here from one of the friendly nations, in which we allow their citizens to traverse here, anytime they want, WITHOUT A VISA, on the VISA WAIVER program we have set up with 38 friendly nations...like England, France, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Spain, etc....

The FEAR of terrorist slipping through and coming here from one of the FRIENDLY Nations, without having to go through the long visa process of vetting, which takes almost 2 years....by being a citizen of the friendly nation...remember, the EU had gone through some serious terrorist attacks that were CITIZENS of their own countries....

So, in 2015, congress passed a law that any citizen from the FRIENDLY NATIONS coming here on the VISA WAIVER program, who was a duel citizen of the 6 nations with terrorist footings on their list or had made a trip to any of these countries within the past 6 years, could no longer come to the USA without a VISA....they could no longer simply buy an airline ticket and come here on the VISA WAIVER program, they had to wait the 2 years of vetting to get a VISA to come here.

As far as stolen passports to come here....that would be from the 38 friendly nations, who only need a passport to come here, with the exception I spoke of above in the 2015 law....

And I don't know what they can do about that....no one is going to get rid of the VISA WAIVER program from those friendly nations, just as I can catch a plane on Monday to London, the citizens there can catch a plane in London to NYC this Friday....there is a huge tourist trade, and business trade that occurs between us and the 'friendlies' and having to get a VISA and wait 2 years just doesn't cut it.

SOOOOO, Trump's E/O did nothing to stop the fake passports, the fake passports will only work, from a FRIENDLY nation who do not need VISAS or extensive vetting to come here, only a passport....

those 6 nations trump canceled coming here on VISAS was a waste of time and solves none of the risks we have, because those 6 nations were already REQUIRED to go through the 2 year VISA VETTING....

while those getting a fake passport from a friendly nation are still easily, able to come here.

"Recent actions on immigration" does not equate to "the ban." Not even the Trump administration supported permanently revoking existing green cards of visas for people already in the country.
