Not sure, but I agree with you that it does LOOK like the anonymous prosecution “source” is diluting our expectations.

And my hunch is that the defense and prosecution lawyers will reach a plea deal. The impetus for the defense will be a “no jail time” term of the plea and sentencing.

I assume the United States will find it sufficient provided that Comey provides a full allocUtion acknowledging that he lied to Congress and detailing those lies.
