MAGA and die hard Trump supporters..... The difference

My issue with "Conservatism" is that it has clearly failed. What have Conservatives conserved? Nothing. Our country is a total mess, and it is specifically a mess because those with the "Conservative" label were too much of cowards to prevent it. Too many weak leaders who claim to stand up for what is "right". At least now everything is exposed for what it is, but still.

Because 95% of the GOP aren't actually conservative. They just identify as one. They're like "trans-conservatives."
Fact is, the RINO's align closer with the left than they do conservatives.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was getting at.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was getting at.

I was reading an article earlier about how a LOT of congressmen are simply scared of Trump and the Trump tribe. Or the Trump cancel culture.

And it made sense.

I used to support Chip Roy. He was very conservative. But when Trump threatened to have him primaried, the tribe went on the attack against him. After that, he voted for the BBB. He stopped bringing up Epstein. And eventually decides to not run for his congressional seat.

All because he wasn't a TL.

I remember that. I used to like him somewhat as well, but then it turned out he just ended up selling himself out and not standing for any real principles of his own.

So, would you prefer that the "conservatives" be more aggressive in taking on the Democrat Party?

I would prefer they abandon any and all labels and just focus on what works. Not attacking for brownie points for their tribe, but making a difference in the working citizen's life.

I support small, limited government that lives within it's means. I support only borrowing from the Federal Reserve in cases of emergencies. I support minding our own business around the world, except for trade.
You can't get anymore conservative than that.
I'm not sure what you think conservatism is. Obviously, you're using the RINO's definition.
Conservatives are now cast as Neocons.

Your definition is what we call Populists, the Trump agenda.

Okay. I can go with that.
Personally, I don't care about the label, be it "Republican" or "MAGA" or "conservative". So I think I'm pretty much in agreement with you.
I do think Trump has that goal. Whether or not it all comes to fruition has yet to be determined ...

Our country has problems, $38T being the biggest.

How we get back to fiscal sanity is the problem to be solved. Joe Biden's overspending is not the answer.
Republicans cutting $1.5T off Biden's 2025 budget is a good start, as well as the BBB.
We still need to start paying down the debt, so there will need to be more financial pain.

Our leaders are too focused on tribal politics and culture war issues, rather than the main concerns of everyday people.

Agreed on that, though I am not so fond of the BBB to a point, since it was an awful lot of spending in that bill.

Exactly correct.
It's the huge elephant in the room. We're borrowing money from our grandchildren who aren't even born yet and it's obscene. Someday the financial reckoning will come and it will make the Crash of 1929 look like a picnic.

If it happens under Trump, the Republicans and Trump are going to be blamed for it and in 2028 someone like AOC will try to play themselves up as the next FDR, reclaiming their power with more hate and vengeance then we've ever seen.

Trump has the "affordability" issue front and center now, after the losses in VA and NJ. He knows the mid-terms could be bad if he doesn't start making things more affordable.

True. Healthcare (ACA) needs to be fixed, along with SS and Medicare. I think we need to go back to a 40% top tax rate, and end the Capital Gains tax break to generate more revenue. If the Supreme Court stops tariffs we're toast.

Gotta be honest, I don't feel any difference in terms of the economy compared to Biden. I know this is supposed to take time, but at some point we have to be honest and say it isn't working out like we thought it would. If this isn't fixed or at least improved enough in the next year, the Dems are going to sweep the midterms in 2026 and it will end badly for all of us.

If the Far Left ever comes into power, this country is done.
And it WILL trigger a civil war.
Period.
You read it here first.

Well, maybe not first.
But you read it here. :wink_2:

Exactly. The democrats would rather crash the economy with an endless shutdown than give Trump's policies a shot at making things better. Trump's $20T in new manufacturing plants hasn't started to be built yet. Beef prices will hit $10 a pound next summer due to the drought and high feed prices.
The only good news is that democrats are at an all-time low approval, with no popular policies or candidates.

The New World Order has the wherewithal to wrap just about any president around it's global finger eventually. Trump is just a slightly harder nut to crack. But they'll put everything theyve got into making everyone think that HE is/was the problem. The "problem" was around for decades before he started to call attention to it. And that's why their media is working overtime to make it seem like it started with him. It didnt.

One thing I don't like is Trump bailing out Argentina.

I think Trump is going to try to keep China out of the Americas.
China's "belt and roads" program gets their foot in the door.
I'm waiting for Trump to take Panama back, and get Maduro out of Venezuela.
