More black privilege. Only whites have to obey the law.

Massachusetts Supremes give blacks green light to flee cops

sep 21 2016 In a decision certain to influence the debate over police interactions with black suspects, the Massachusetts Supreme Court dismissed the gun conviction of a black man arrested by Boston police, ruling his fleeing from officers can be considered legitimate given black males’ fear of being racially profiled.

Jimmy Warren was arrested Dec. 18, 2011, by police who were investigating a break-in in nearby Roxbury. According to the victim, the suspects were three black men, one of whom was wearing a red hoodie, another a black hoodie and the third non-descript dark clothing. Warren was latter spotted with a second man, both wearing dark clothing, by officers.

Both men fled when approached by an officer seeking to question them. When Warren was later apprehended, he was accused of possession of an unlicensed .22-caliber pistol that police said he threw away during pursuit. While no items from the burglary were found in his possession, he was charged and convicted of unlawful possession of the weapon. Warren appealed.

The Massachusetts Supreme Court based it’s decision to overturn the conviction on two arguments. The witness description of the suspected burglars was too vague, the judges ruled, and there was no cause to question the pair just because they fit the “ubiquitous” clothing description or because the officer had a “hunch,” reported WBUR News.

Just the tip of the iceberg. As soon as the libs can appoint another supreme court justice this type of idiocy will become federal law.

Is this for real?

Well...if you consider the source...and then ask that question seriously...you might be a retard.

The facts are a bit different than the way the OP portrayed them. You...being the deep thinker that you are.....wouldn't have considered that.

Der......der.....is this for reals? Cuz....iffin it is.....this is PC run AMOK!!! Der.

Of all the Cops episodes I saw I never saw the cops shoot someone running from them. They run after them.

This ruling slaps in the face the people who would dismiss the current black movement to not have to worry about getting murdered by the police, let's hope it wakes you derps up.

So here's the story, from HuffPo, not exactly a right wing site:

Massachusetts Court Rules Black Men May Have Good Reason To Flee Police | Huffington Post

The ruling found that Warren simply being a black man wearing dark clothing — which could apply to countless people in Boston — was not enough for officers to have “reasonable suspicion” to stop him. Additionally, the court ruled that Warren fleeing also was not cause for reasonable suspicion, since there could be good reason for an innocent black man to want to avoid Boston police:

“We do not eliminate flight as a factor in the reasonable suspicion analysis whenever a black male is the subject of an investigatory stop. However, in such circumstances, flight is not necessarily probative of a suspect’s state of mind or consciousness of guilt. Rather, the finding that black males in Boston are disproportionately and repeatedly targeted for FIO [Field Interrogation and Observation] encounters suggests a reason for flight totally unrelated to consciousness of guilt. Such an individual, when approached by the police, might just as easily be motivated by the desire to avoid the recurring indignity of being racially profiled as by the desire to hide criminal activity.”

Many, many supportive posts from HuffPo readers in the comments section, such as:

At this point I consider any black person killing a police officer to be self defense if I am being honest.

If being "suspicious" is a crime...most cops would be in jail!

I would go further and say the an african american should assume a reasonable probabiltiy that he/she is going to die or be arrested when approached by law enforcement. So fleeing would be a reasonable act of self defence.

The "culture of low expectations" have left the perception that a black person suspicious of the police must be hiding something and thus fit the definition for "reasonable suspicion" on the part of the officer(s). If you don't trust me (an officer) you must be a "bad person" and thus I must treat you as such. Thankfully this court now says there may be good reasons to not trust some officers and thus such an assumption is not enough.

And fleeing doesn't give cops the right to shoot you in the back. A lot of people think that is grounds for a street execution but it isn't. Ya know, because the constitution and a little something called human rights

So, it turns out the story on the ruling is true, and there are plenty of lefties who think it's just fine. At least if they're being honest.

Just wanted to confirm, by exercising a little intellectual curiosity.

Oh Lord have mercy on our souls that the world has come to this

The "Safari Principal" as elucidated by Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch and Sheikh Hussein Obama: "There are people among us who cannot ignore their instincts, control their emotions, or comply with the laws. Therefore, if anything untoward should happen, if and when you come into contact with them, whatever happens is totally and completely your fault." Terence Crutcher, Keith Scott, Freddie Gray, Michael Brown, Antoine Robinson, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland all come to mind in this nation where all men were supposedly created equal.
Obviously, the copy of the US Constitution, Messrs Obama, Holder, and Lynch are using as reference is to be found in the pages of Karl Marx's "Das Kapital"
"The Cambridge Police acted stupidly"

ruling his fleeing from officers can be considered legitimate given black males’ fear of being racially profiled.

Wow, amazing. Do you know that Gazelles run from Cheetahs for the same reasons?
