On Sept. 20, Carney told reporters, "It is, I think, self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack. Our embassy was attacked violently, and the result was four deaths of American officials."

But that same day, Obama told an audience at a town hall meeting, "What we do know is that the natural protests that arose because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests."

There is one of the many flaws in Oldstyle's rationale that there was a deliberate scheme to sell a false narrative by the White House after the attack that Obama called an act of terror the following morning.

Let's recall that OldStyle started with this myth:

So Oldstyle has advanced a small step toward reality (Not there yet by any means) by hopefully abandoning the 'blamed terrorism on a YouTube Video' line of attack from days ago to the WHite House spokesmen telling right wing idiots that it was obviously a terrorist attack.

But after Carney spoke Oldstyle fails to comprehend what the President said sometime later in the day, Obama correctly said that "protests that arose because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests."

After misreading what Obama actually said, Oldstyle goes on another foolish rant about how there was supposedly no protest activity in Benghazi. Well so what if there was or if there was not protest activity in Benghazi. Obama's point was very clearly that there were protests around the world over the video and that 'extremists' used the video and the protests as an excuse to directly harm US interests. Obama didn't tie or link or state in anyway that he thought there was a protest going on in Benghazi.

And perhaps we can teach Oldstyle what the phrase used "as an excuse" means. That is not blaming the video or the protest over the video for the attack in Benhgasi or anywhere else there were attacks on US interests. It is saying that it is wrong to blame the video as an excuse to commit violence from random acts of violence during a protest to commit an act of terror - as Obama and Jay Carney stated over a span of nine days or so that has Oldstyle so fired up over absolutely nothing. .

So explain to me why if they weren't engaged in a cover-up, the Obama White House felt compelled to reclassify the Ben Rhodes email to Susan Rice, Notfooled? How would THAT email in anyway fall under the heading of "Top Secret" and something that Congress shouldn't be allowed to see? They hid that email because they didn't want to admit that they misled both Congress and the American people.

Seriously Oldstyle, you are making excuses for the inexcusable. I have no argument that Romney or anyone else has the right and obligation to speak their opinions and at the time of crisis to use appropriate methods of communication to effect change. The question is one of appropriateness. It was long ago established that when the country is in crisis and American's are in danger, particularly when troops are in harms way, the country shows a united posture. It shows strength and support behind the military and our leadership. The audience is our enemy. The one that is attacking us. It is a long tradition that has served us well. Phones may ring off the hooks in Washington and back room meetings may be held. Senators and Representatives may show dissatisfaction and even anger, but it is done outside the view of the enemy. Time is given for the leadership, and especially the military to coordinate and implement an immediate response and plan. The last thing that is needed is a politician ignoring that tradition and making a speech that indicates disunity or confusion and affirms that the enemies tactics or attack has been successful by dividing the countries leadership or causing a lack of confidence in the nations leadership. Nor does the enemy deserve hints at what our response may or may not do. In any case, a guy running for President shouldn't take it on himself to arbitrarily ignore and break with a long held tradition just to put himself in the spotlight.

How much time did you want Romney to give for this White House to formulate a response or plan? Like Barry "I'm going to vote Present!" Obama was actually formulating a military response? He was too busy formulating a narrative to blame the deaths of Ambassador Stevens and the other three Americans on a "protest gone wild" to actually plan a military response! We couldn't even secure the consulate for weeks after the attacks so that the FBI could investigate because Barry STILL hadn't ordered a military response to secure our diplomatic property. But you want to point fingers at Mitt Romney for pointing out how idiotic this President's foreign policy has been since he took office? Like our enemies don't already KNOW they've got a neophyte in the Oval Office? He's "Mister Leading From Behind" and our enemies are well aware of how clueless he really is. ISIS rolled across miles of empty desert to take key Iraqi cities while Barry called them the JV and diddled himself. Was Mitt Romney to blame for that as well?

When the attack came they then sent Rice out to lie her ass off about a video being the cause of the attack.

Why certain emails were classified is still a matter of executive privilege. As a prosecutor wannabe, Oldstyle, to make your case you have to prove motive with ill-intent. That needs a real crime to show what the motivation to re-classify was all about. You are claiming that the politucal crime was a deliberate false narrative being foisted upon the American people. But you have no case that a crime was actually committed. Whether you like it or not your case was shot down immediately by the President of the United States the day after the attacks took place when he referred to the Benghazi attacks as an act of terror.

If Obama actually were plotting to decieve the voting public he would have had to say from the very first public address by him that it was not an act of terror, it was a protest that got out of hand by ordinary Muslims who were enraged by the anti-Muslim video. But he didn't say that. Your case for the false narrative has more holes than cheese.

So we are pointing to your lies and falsehoods in your case that a political crime or lie was committed. And you do not respond to the points we have made.
