You put on the form what the property is worth at the time. If somebody wants to pay ten times what the form says, good on them

What they usually do in that situation is, make a deal for what ever amount, say a half mill an acre. The Developer gives you 10% down, let's say $250k on 5 Acres. THEN, the Developer puts a house or two on it or starts construction of his Strip Club, THEN goes to the Bank and gets a new appraisal for half-mill an acre. $-???

Takes about a year, maybe a little more, before you get your money.

A Mansion in Rural Georgia is still a Mansion. But your point is valid. For many properties, location is paramount. Square Footage and Amenities is riight there, too.

It's actually more 'Availability' than it is location. My 2,000 sq foot house, if it were on Long Island might be worth 5 tmes more than it is in SW florida but that's mostly because there aren't very many houses and properties on Long Island like mine. Supply and Demand. Which, I suppose is dictated by location.

People that have to work are the ones paying through the nose.
