I'm grounded in reality. My husband is VERY frank about stuff, so, I have no illusions how men think. I think a lot of wives would have left or would be crying their eyes out hearing the stuff I hear!

That's why, if I ever found myself single, I would NEVER marry again. I would not even live with someone. One and done!

I didn't get married until I was 39. I never wanted to settle. My husband was different than any man I have ever met. He did NOT put up with some of my antics (I was not some bitchy, high maintenance person, but, I could be self centered in a lot of ways).... he called me on things no one else ever had (including my family) and they SHOULD have because it would have been for my benefit.

So - what he has given to me is better than money. I do love him. But you're right, that initial "woozy, madly in love stuff" - it was there in the beginning. I have heard many married people say they still feel that way. Maybe they are lying?

love will **** you over quicker than anything....i had my game plan.....it was a good one...then i was walking into a record store owned by a friend .....and got hit with cupids ******* arrow....the moment i saw him.....it was over....i couldnt say a word...even when he spoke to me....i just giggled like a kid...alas .....it was just a moment in time....and at that time he had more problems than i did and i am a firm believer in the 3 rules of life....

dont play cards with a man named doc....dont eat at a place called mom;s and dont sleep with anyone having more problems than you.....

the next time i saw him....i tossed the play book and the rule book....some days i understand the women on the titanic who stayed with their husbands...sometimes i consider 'deadly women' my tutorial for the future....

no dear....i worked for it....love is hard work....dont let anyone tell you different....the hard times...when most people would have opted to cut and run...we stayed and fought it out and fought for each other and us....it has gotten much easier ...as we have aged....even now we will blow up.....

Yep. I am in it for the long haul myself, I'm actually pretty content. Didn't realize it though till I was away for a while... sometimes it takes that (or did for me anyway) to realize and learn some things about yourself.... especially someone like me that is all over the place!
