The less competent attack the messenger.
I've noticed that. But since I didn't attack you and you didn't attack me it's another non sequitur. Ann Coulter was not the messenger; you were. She was just your tool.
Are you suggesting that Coulter is in error?
Could you prove that?
After all, she is a scholar.
ooooh, a
scholar! Yeah, aren't we all. By the way in her case 'scholar' spelled g-a-d-f-l-y. But whether she's in error or not is a moot point, because it's
off the topic. That's why I snipped the rest of your quote -- equally irrelevant.
I guess I should break the news that that quote from Phallaciouses Canardementius was a fabricated sarcasm to represent what's attempted here. To go alllll the way back to the beginning, neither Bob Costas, nor Jason Whitlock (nor I) said a single word about gun laws, gun control, or "taking anything away". So all these side trips down the rhetorical alleys of shooting down your own strawmen are just that. Irrelevant side trips to avoid going where the national dialogue needs to go.
While the fallaciers are playing cops and robbers games down those alleys looking for boogeymen of their own creation, I'm back in the car with Bob Costas, waiting, occasionally honking the horn to say "let's go". We have Phallaciouses Canardementius in the back seat, laughing his ass off. I think H.L. Mencken is back there too. If we can't go anywhere we might as well enjoy the non-ride.
So, you are up in arms because Costas embarked on a rant that condemned guns and gun ownership….but didn’t actually use the exact words?
You’re a pretty sharp possum….
Did you study Shakespeare in possum school?
This speech:
“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answer'd it.
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest -
For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men -
Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
But Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.”
Heck….I guess you possums think Antony was condemning Caesar, and praising Brutus, huh?
I’m thinking, that’s why possums don’t rule the world.
