A report by French TV station M6 reveals a secret network of luxury restaurants in Paris so politicians, businessmen and judges can avoid quarantine.

Restaurants in France were closed at the end of October because of the curfew, but the report aired Friday night shows as an example a luxury restaurant in Paris that was still secretly open to premier league customers.
The footage was shot with a hidden camera, and an anonymous person identified as the organizer of one of the secret parties revealed that he had dined with several ministers at two or three secret restaurants last week.
Some have identified him as Pierre Jean Chalençon, owner of the "Palais Vivienne," an upscale restaurant in central Paris that is featured on the cover photo. In the wake of the scandal, his lawyer issued a statement denying that he met secretly with ministers for dinner.
"People who come here take off their face masks," said a staffer at one of the restaurants. "As soon as you walk through the door, there's no corona virus," says one of the banquet organizers.
The report also shows viewers a private party at an elegant establishment where neither the guests nor the waiters wear masks or maintain a social distance. Some are shown kissing as well.
