The idea that Liz Cheney would have to go through the lawyer that Hutchinson was trying to ditch is illogical and lacks common sense. Furthermore, there is no prohibition from doing so. Cassidy Hutchinson is an adult and can choose to communicate with Liz Cheney if she wishes to. That's her right and her freedom to do so. There is no law prohibiting it and the rule you posted clearly does not apply to Liz Cheney acting in her capacity as a member of Congress. That is, if you actually read what it says.
