I'm guardedly optimistic with Iran's new President and what he's been saying . I don't think that we should start this new dialogue off with the same old worn out "demands then talk" strategy. If we could build somewhat friendly and open relations with their country, imagine how that could change that region in some good ways. I think that we need to approach the issue with the knowledge that we have nukes and so does Israel, we are not pressuring Israel in the same way we are pressuring Iran regarding the aforementioned. I don't think that we should be naive regarding Iran but maybe another approach will be the better way to go.

Last, building even one would provide umbrella cover for their terrorist proxies to be even more aggressive, and would start a nuclear arms race in the mideast, the last place on earth you'd want to see one.

3) As if the NYT is never wrong - that POS rag published an op-ed this week calling for the destruction of israel - but even this quote says iran may be "only months away". Yeah, that's fucking re-assuring...

4) We don't know the answers because iran is refusing to allow IAEA inspectors to visit sites like parchin and fordow, interview scientists, etc., all required under the NPT. This regime, which regularly has murdered large numbers of its own population far in excess of anything the shah could have dreamed of, cannot be trusted 5 feet.

All that said, I do not advocate bombing the nuke sites there as it would not successfully destroy all of them, and they would simply rebuild. I do recommend the harder, more likely to succeed task, and that would be to liquidate the regime.

Any destruction of the sites would simply be rebuilt under an angry beehive of terrorist/murderers, but if they were killed and replaced with a rational, non-fundamentalist regime, iran would no longer be a threat, and would be welcome to join the civilized world who could help iran achieve basic nuclear power.
