It seems that our MAGA friends have gone pretty quite when you explain them reality...
US doesn't have real security, they have a lot of perceived security... i.e. poorly trained guard with a gun...
US has also a huge set of targets, a lot which effectively have no security...
When the IRA blew up that bomb in London, the cost of the bomb was bad (it closed the one of the exchanges for three days) but the real cost was the years of security needed everywhere in London... Every car coming into the financial district had to have its interior, engine and trunk checked for explosives... Just think of that hassle for years... Cameras were put up everywhere..
Then there was the hoax bomb alerts... Someone would ring up Newspaper, Radio or TV with a bomb alert for a terminal of Heathrow on a friday evening... Whole place closed for hours... It was so bad there were calls put in on end of year exams for college... The UK gov and IRA had set up a code word system for the amount of hoaxes...
Do MAGA understand the cost of all this.... BTW, the US government is on the hook for all costs in relation to a terrorist attack...
Sidenote : The most bombed hotel in the world in the 80s was the Europa Hotel in Belfast. It was at the back of the main bus station. The IRA used to ring in a warning, hotel evacuated, bomb set off, construction crew go in and rebuild whole or part of Hotel, the UK government paid the costs... The massive rumour in Ireland, the IRA were getting back handers(paid) from the construction crews...
