When we see a loser like DiBlasio get elected to a major position we know the pendulum has swung full phase. There will be an inevitable reaction back as progressive policies fail spectacularly.

“The demographics race we’re losing badly. We’re not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.” - Republican Senator Lindsey Graham

A rational response to the election of Bill de Blasio as Mayor of NYC is for the right to ask why a city which has not elected a Democrat as Mayor in two decades did so now? I'm of the opinion that the middle class and moderates in both parties are sick of the current Republicans and the extreme direction of the GOP.

There's one consolation. He's so far left, that if he veers even further to the left, he will merge with the far right.Lesbian wife, drug addict kid. He's perfect.

Yeah, you're correct about the right. Conservatives that were considered far right 10-15 years ago are now called Rino's.
Bill de Blasio is a bit to extreme to the left for me, however it's too early to state that liberals have moved further to the left based on de Blasio.
Personally, I think that liberals should move to the right to capture the centralist/moderate voters. It'd be a win-win. Moving further to the left would be stupid. But it shows the mentality of both our ideologies, they both want to move more to the extreme which basically leaves a huge void in the middle.

Is the democrat party really embracing "the tale of two cities" concept? Most low information lefties and marginally educated democrats probably ain't got a clue but the tail of two cities was about armed insurrection and the execution of former political leaders in 18th century France. Is that what the radical left dreams about?

You are so right. Look at the beating that Romney gave Obama on 6Nov12. An inevitable reaction by American Voters against a liberal black man as President. And you predicted how badly Romney beat Obama. Aren't you just so smart, Rabid?

I mostly agree, but I would change "a huge void" to "a huge opportunity" in your last sentence.
I'm not surprised by Rabbi's post, he really has no clue.
