Liberals love free speech

It's none of your damn business. Bringing family into discussions is against the rules.

Why, whatever happened to your championing of free speech? You suddenly discarded it?
Free speech is not you demanding others answer your questions. And it's not the rules of this board either since the owners have the right to set said rules.
Wait you hide behind your kids when you ask about nambla......I answered the question I don't bitch out. Such a typical lib
WTH are you talking about you idiot? Try reading next time.

Look ugly Betty, you can teapot me, I have a coherent philosophy so bring ok ng up nambla won't work....they can speak freely as.long as they don't break the law with kiddie porn.......and those people should be killed...how do you feel on the subject.
Free speech - liberal.
Killing people you oppose - not liberal.

Actually, I think you just simply can't keep up with who says what on a thread.
I frankly don't give a damn, if I have a point to make.

Do your children suffer from the same disease?

I hardly demand you to answer anything at all. In fact, I didn't expect you to answer. Go pile sand.

You asked about my family life? Don't.

No liberal opposes free speech. You are just calling people who aren't liberal liberals again.

There is no such thing as a liberal who doesn't defend free speech. They might set a time and a place but they will always defend free speech.

Ok Change the term to progressive......progressives like hitler and Stalin, they do not like free speech.

Hitler and Stalin weren't "Progressives". Progressives were gone by the time those guys came up.

Why don't you just write a nice novel if you're so into fabrication.

I admit, I could never write a novel. I don't have the ability to just make shit up. I was born without a wild imagination. :(

You're an idiot.......they were the epitome of progressivism.......they loved other progressive.like Margaret Sanger, Karl marx, ect......and huey long was a progressive among many in our govt...at that time...and Sanders and Warren s are progressives...so they never went anywhere they called themselves liberals because their brand was tainted.

Sigh.

The Progressives died with Bob LaFollete, in 1925. They were active from around the turn of the century up to World War One. That's before Huey Long's career and waaay before Sanders and Clinton, who not only don't resemble each other ideologically, neither was even born yet. Sanger wasn't in politics.

>> Progressivism is the term applied to a variety of responses to the economic and social problems rapid industrialization introduced to America. Progressivism began as a social movement and grew into a political movement. The early progressives rejected Social Darwinism. In other words, they were people who believed that the problems society faced (poverty, violence, greed, racism, class warfare) could best be addressed by providing good education, a safe environment, and an efficient workplace.

Progressives lived mainly in the cities, were college educated, and believed that government could be a tool for change. Social reformers, like Jane Addams, and journalists, like Jacob Riis and Ida Tarbel, were powerful voices for progressivism. They concentrated on exposing the evils of corporate greed, combating fear of immigrants, and urging Americans to think hard about what democracy meant. Other local leaders encouraged Americans to register to vote, fight political corruption, and let the voting public decide how issues should best be addressed (the initiative, the referendum, and the recall).

On a national level, progressivism gained a strong voice in the White House when Theodore Roosevelt became president in 1901. TR believed that strong corporations were good for America, but he also believed that corporate behavior must be watched to ensure that corporate greed did not get out of hand (trust-busting and federal regulation of business). << --- The Progressive Era (1890-1920)

Do you get paid for how many times you're flat wrong in one day? Or is it by the post?

Diga me Tonto -- does "combating the fear of immigrants" sound like Hitler? Does getting voters involved, standing against political corruption and encouraging referenda sound like Stalin?

Hm?

Sanger was into politics......who are you trying to fool?
As for progressives....what is the difference between a progressive and a liberal?

What exactly is this obsession y'all binary-bots have with slapping labels on people anyway? Hm?

This point has been made before, apparently to deaf ears --- people are not labels. People are not "Liberals" or "Progressives" or "conservatives". ACTIONS are. One may be "liberal" on this issue and "conservative" on that one. Where does one affix that label? Hm?

Definitions have already been handed out here and elsewhere. Do your homework, parrot.

Pretty broad definition...

Cop out is it?? From the OP who ran away from my challenge in post 2? From the guy who ran away from my challenge to demonstrate Hitler and Stalin fitting in with the "Progressive" background in 172???

Oh poster please. You're way the fuck behind here.

Yep. They love to abolish it.

Wasserman-Schultz Agrees: Repeal First Amendment; Supports Government-Financing Of Campaigns

Bustball musta thought nobody would actually vet his video. I did, apparently he didn't.

It doesn't mention anything about the First Amendment --- at all.
Busted by a YouTube fake title. Oh the shame....

Maybe we should him to defend NAMBLA?

One foaming at the mouth Democrat doesn't exactly describe every liberal. What a smear campaign against colleges in general. I hear about it every night when I tune into Fox. Why is that?
SOME people won't be happy until there are swastikas on every bulletin board. That's what started it, and a lot of people who aren't racist bought into it. Be careful who you hang with.

Old lady it does....liberals do this all the time......at most every university.....and those that don't, do not speak out against it......that's how we know.
Well, if I were working at a university, I would put in my two cents worth, but I don't. My point is, I THINK, I SUSPECT, that the situation is being exaggerated. Every university has its "characters," that professor included. Most of my coworkers and friends are Democrats and liberals, and not ONE of them would try to shut down a conservative Republican's right to speak. Anywhere. You have allowed yourself to be brainwashed by Fox, that picks at every little thing. When a foaming at the mouth Democrat--one--writes a letter about a Republican and it goes national as an example of every professor at every university, you are the one being duped.

Wrong old lady.......they tried to stop conservatives from speaking....and if they are just characters, they should be overruled....
