Yes, it’s wonderful. During the election I was entirely focused on the irreparable damage that would be done to America if the idiot DEI candidate won, and ecstatic that a strong, patriotic American won Instead.

But every day, I realize more and more the far impact this win will have. I wasn’t really thinking of how we would be getting rid of all the anti-Americans now occupying Cabinet positions, rebuilding our military, getting rid of the waste and bloat in government, etc., etc. And now, I am reminded that we have retained a conservative SCOTUS as well.

Just think: Trump has filled out his entire team in the time it would have taken Kamala to answer a question.

The fact is that the vast majority of women can still get abortions in the state where they live - many at ANY stage of pregnancy - and for those who live in a restrictive state, they can take a bus to an adjacent state.

Yes, I just went and read it. That is his opinion, so I understand your comment about the cost hangers now.

I am a Republican and appalled at states allowimg abortion up to 24 weeks (or later). That is a 6-month fetus, capable of life and certainly capable of pain. Other than the life of the mother, there is no reason to delay your decision until you have a viable baby.

I would hope to have a national ban at the 12-week stage, or by the end of the first trimester. That’s plenty of time for a woman to realize she’s pregnant, and provide her with several weeks to decide.

Perhaps a conservative SCOTUS would show humanity and compassion to a fetus that is about to be robbed of a lifetime of school, and friends, and exciting adventures, and enjoying movies, and maybe a wedding, and children, and grandchildren, and beach vacations, and learning to ski the Rockies, and whatever. Ar least spare it pain as it is robbed of all that.

Every presidential election is about control of the Supreme Court, even if many Americans don’t consciously realize it. By reelecting former President Donald Trump on Tuesday and turning over the Senate to firm Republican control, voters guaranteed that all but the youngest of them will live under a deeply conservative high court for the rest of their lives.

Some have suggested liberals may push for Sotomayor to vacate, so the Democrats can install another one in the lame-duck session, but Sotomayor has expressed no willingness to do so, and Joe Manchin said he would block any nominee the GOP opposed.

I can't look into a crystal ball, but I think JD Vance will be a formidable candidate in 2028. The man simply cannot be beaten in debate or interview as he has proven many times in the past few months. He is a brilliant man and a devout Catholic. If he can be a two-termer and conservatives control everything for the next 12 years, it could work out very well, provided they pick the right justices and don't get hornswoggled like they did with Souter. If they could get the right case to give personhood status to the unborn, then legal abortion would be eradicated forever in this country. I pray that is the case.

I'm happy with Biden's presidency for the most....but not with a handful of things....No president is perfect.

The stock market, our retirement accounts have more than made up for inflation and are actually growing at a good clip....
The price of my home has gone up in value, our roads and bridges are being repaired and after 17 years up here of waiting, we are getting high speed internet service beginning next year, inflation rate is now near normal, we are out of Afghanistan, he supported Ukraine against the ill gotten Russian invasion, supported Israel after Oct 7th vicious attack, he strengthened us with ally foreign relations, violent crime has gone down or maintained at a history low, he's handled Natural disasters well and with class, kept UE pretty low, grown GDP at a good rate etc...

Under his leadership two global conflicts emerged. Under his leadership 8mil or more illegals invaded us. Under his leadership trans defects overran the WH.

He lost badly. So badly his own party tossed him.
