Liberals - Your party is in power now (at least on the Federal level) so be prepared for Joe Biden and his administration to be blamed for everything from financial market hiccups, to someone's case of erectile dysfunction - it goes with the territory; also -
be thankful though for Joe's good start, the relief package is very popular with most voters, and regardless what happens with infrastructure, Biden and the Liberals have solidified their advantage over a Conservative party, now smitten with division, finger pointing, and a smaller voter base.
Conservatives may be against Joe, but most voters are happy with a notable lack of playmates, pornstars, family members, convicted felons, and media personalities in and around this administration.
Good start Joe!
Joe could do nothing for the next 3.5 years and it would be a vast improvement over the last 4.
However....(you knew there was a however)....the Democrats are proving they are little better than the GOP counterparts and their rhetoric doesn't match their actions. Case in point; the GOP came up with a near trillion dollar "counter offer" to the infrastructure plan. Since the GOP came up with it--assuming they are serious about it--one would reason that they would vote for it. Okay, Joe, you said this about your plan:
"Public domestic investment as a share of the economy has fallen by more than 40 percent since the 1960s. The American Jobs Plan will invest in America in a way we have not invested since we built the interstate highways and won the Space Race."
Certainly in the Trillion the GOP proposed and the two Trillion you proposed, there is some overlap. Where there is overlap....put that into a bill and get it passed! What wasn't in the overlap, form another bill and ram it through. What is the hold up? The hold up is that he and other Democrats are worried about the credit being shared. That seems to be it! If this is really such a crisis...one would hope that all of the window dressing wouldn't matter. But, amazingly, it does.
I think most Americans would be happy with a bill that both parties agree on and that the credit would ultimately flow to the President for that. The Democrats seem to think--like the GOP--that it is either an all or nothing proposition. That is just sad.
