That someone would have to be pretty f•••ed-up in the head to commit the crimes that they do, and perhaps the remedy is to treat them for mental illness. But in nearly all cases, it's just bullshit. They don't commit crimes because they are insane; they commit crimes because they are evil. And you cannot cure evil. You can only remove those dedicated to it from free society, either by locking them in prison for life, or else by putting them to death.
