The social security earned income contribution cap was designed to protect the very people who support, and fund, the idiots that run the government.

Really. Is this working for you? In the real world, you have to have a job that pays taxes, health care, and enough to cover food, shelter, clothing, and all your requirements of life, plus more. You can't get rich unless you can save and more than 40% of Americans don't have enough income to provide the basics and require social assistance, even though they may have more than one job.

Then if you live frugally all of your life, saving your money and investing, you might get rich. Or the stock market might crash and you could lose everything and have to start over.
