I agree with your assessment of the situation

But the democrats, euros, and domestic opponents of trump are demanding that the war continue

All three groups are being unreasonable

And there is no talking them out of it

Again, it amuses me that you think that Taiwan should be defended to the end of the world (even though we don't recognize it as a country) but you think that Ukraine should make concessions to Putin even though we promised to protect them in the 1994 nuclear accord.
