Let's chat, Coyote.

There's something I like about you. Help me figure out why that is.

Let's start with a few basic questions....
What line of work are you in?
Are you married?
Any kids?

I'm staff at a University (Geology and Geography) and I teach dog training classes
Married
No kids...except furry ones :p

Furry kids are the best kind. lol

Feel free to ask me anything, Coyote.

Are you married?
Kids or pets?

You are a kind poster :)
Biomed (I repair equipment in a hospital)
No. Never saw a reason to take that step.
No. I had two dogs until life became too busy.

Well, I'll take your online niceness then :) I have 5 dogs (one is a foster) and 2 cats. Can't imagine life without them. And I love dog training, and hiking them. I live in a good area for that - we have lots of outdoor trails and such. As long as it's not deer season...

Some people at work mistake my level of honesty for being mean. It was something I never thought about until a nurse said something.
We're now friends. :)

Sounds like you're living a good life. :)
I'm sure I'll consider marriage and pets when the time is right. The past several years for me have been busy with the GF, family, work, and friends.

Did you lean left before working at the university, Coyote?

You strike me as someone who says it like it is, not mean. I am fortunate to live in an area that is not very expensive and has a wealth of natural beauty and no home owners associations to piss me off :D

And I'm old enough to not care so much what others think of me (that took a long time coming).

Did you lean left before working at the university, Coyote?

Yes, I've always been left - more so when I was younger. Our department is mixed in terms of political ideology because we are also part of the energy sector, with geology.

And he calls himself Coyote because a aborigini medicine man said that was his power animal cuz after eating the australian kind of peyote, he barked a lot. Hence..the name was written in the smoke..er...stars.

Gracie must've had some good stuff on Tuesday. :smoke:

There is always that...even evil has to sleep occassionally :dev2:
Well, we all know you're not evil. That is, after all, My schtick.

More so when you were younger? Does that mean you're moving towards the center?
Would you support Trump if he's able to accomplish many of his goals?

Btw... I decided to upgrade my account because of you. It's my way of saying thanks for being a reasonable mod while holding liberal beliefs. :)

Is there something you can do about that yellow banner under my AV, Coyote? I don't like it.

I can ask the Admins to remove if you like, can't do it myself though...

I'm not sure if I've moved more towards the center or I've gotten more pragmatic about some things. I can see areas where right and left can find common ground and work together...but they won't. Each seems invested in a scorched earth policy and each is marginalizing, if not outright driving out its moderates. Worries me.

On Trump....that is difficult. Many of his goals are the antithesis of what I believe in so how could I support them or him?

Immigration, tax reform, fixing ACA, prison reform...

What are your thoughts on obama and the DNC ignoring the warnings and help offered by various intelligence agencies before Trump kicked Hillary to the curb?
