It's a sad day today, because everyone's favorite (non-ALF) alien had passed. And while Leonard Nimoy wasn't necessarily known as a huge gearhead, he seemed to have good taste in cars, and has at least this one good car-related story. It involves Spock, Kirk, a bike, and a Buick Riviera.

That is cool! My grandmother traded her Valiant for one, brand new with the 440 4 barrel, black on black, chrome wheels. She was completely blind in one eye and late 60s in age. She bought it new, paid cash out of her school teacher retirements from 3 states. She scared the hell out of several times on trips to Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, never wearing a seatbelt, as not popular at the time. I never sat in that beast with her, without one.
