Leaders throughout the world's reaction to the atrocities committed in Bucha, Ukraine are evidence of a lack of wisdom in the world! Leaders are straining to insure they are movingly emphatic in their call for more sanctions against Russia to respond to the shocking murders in the town of Bucha by its troops. To a large degree, these leaders are just conducting a campaign to make themselves feel good, it doesn't have prudent judgment behind their efforts. The only real area left to enact sanctions that will meaningly hurt Russia is commodity area sanctions: oil, natural gas, coal etc. and in so doing you will be victimizing more innocent victims especially in Europe. Europeans already pay six times more than Americans for natural gas would you like it to be ten times would you like natural gas to be rationed out to Europeans and their businesses so the shortage and the accompanying pain can be evened out across the respective country. Russia has more than enough money as of today to carry out this war in Ukraine for another nine months and after nine months of additional war of the type heretofore conducted which is leveling communities there is not going to be any significant area of buildings mostly intact in the eastern and southern part of Ukraine outside of maybe Crimea and separatist areas in the Donbas so what is the compelling point to issue more sanctions which hurt more innocent people. You all really just advancing the agenda of power hungry conscienceless tyrants like Vladimir Putin that like to see lots of other people unjustly severely suffer with more of your "it makes us feel like we're doing some high minded" sanctions! Moreover, since the first week of the war Russia has been firing shells at high rise building killing people as parts of the building crushed them and killing Ukrainian civilians by firing bullets at them in evacuating cars and buses fleeing Ukrainian cities under Russian assault; is it really that much more morally wrong when retreating Russian soldiers in a fit of rage and revenge shot and killed innocent Ukrainian civilians that happened to be on the street they were taking leaving Bucha, I submit an ordinary reasonable person shouldn't think so, in both cases its intentional murder!
This is the situation the world has with Putin and his raw aggression of a neighboring country's territory we have a very powerful tyrant which has a fighting force with incredible lethal power he has invaded this country, the war has to play out he has to be stopped on the battlefield; Vladimir Putin doesn't care about the civilized and principle standards of these world leaders. Leaders really need to stop with their feckless and foolish sanction efforts and focus on things that can make a real difference; get the Ukrainians the weapons they plead for and will enable them to push back and stop the Russian military. Even the basics the Ukrainians and their allies lack pursuant to media reports, news stories say their foreign legion of Ukraine "lack" helmets, body armor and even rifles for their soldiers; hey leaders try being competent allies of Ukraine and taking care of things like these basics. How about needed non-lethal supplies for Ukraine; fuel depots have been destroyed or severely damaged from Russian bombs at Lviv, Odesa and Kyiv to name some of the larger cities where this has happened how about sending Ukraine steel barrels of fuel - these depot tanks cannot be rebuilt in any timely manner - so they can operate their economy and military!
The world public doesn't hear enough of the service the Ukrainian people are doing for the security of the world. The Ukrainian people in their fight against the Russian invasion of their country are dramatically degrading and using up Russia military might and considering the President of Russia has the character where his goal is to rebuild the old Soviet Empire which means conquering NATO Countries. Practically the Ukrainian people are saving the NATO countries hundreds of billions of dollars of expenditures in building up their military forces over the next decade to defend against the Putin Russian regime. After the war ends of course Vladimir Putin will have the time to rebuild his army to be competitive with NATO but President Putin will not have the money to build and acquire the quality and quantity to achieve this goal because of the world's transition to non-carbon energy resources and especially its aversion to Russian carbon energy sources which come with a hidden costs you are arming a monster, in Vladimir Putin, who poses a threat to your people! The U.S. spent $2 trillion on the Afghanistan war and $2 trillion on the Iraq war and America is patting themselves on the back for a $12 billion dollar appropriation for Ukraine; the U.S. and NATO allies in proportion to their GDP should have their check books out writing checks for whatever weapons the Ukrainians need, the Ukrainian military should want for nothing in terms of physical resources considering the service they are performing for the Free World!
Lastly, somebody needs to get to President Joseph Biden and shake him up to get his act together. Prudent U.S. Presidents stay on script and don't talk to the Press off the cuff too much (like just hold one press conference a month), modern examples George W. Bush and Barack Obama. President Biden needs to stop talking so much to the Press especially since he is so gaffe prone! His comments to the Press around two days ago about Bucha and the atrocities and him calling for war crimes investigations and him doubling down that Vladimir Putin is a war criminal are imprudent and just reveals himself as not a top tier President. As of today it is a fifty-fifty percent toss up whether Putin's Army will win the battle for eastern Ukraine and the battle for southern Ukraine against the Ukrainian Army but one thing is absolutely sure that the death figures from such battles are collectively going to be over twenty-five thousand soldiers for the Russian side and for the record equally for the Ukrainian side. The point here is that if Putin is smart he won't risk this fight because even if he wins the battles the cost are and will be too high and it would be smarter to negotiate a meaningful good deal from his standpoint and such a deal may have to be in part that Putin and none of his military gets prosecuted for war crimes and it is not helpful to get to a negotiated resolution to this war to have the U. S. President prancing around saying I told you I was right he, Putin, has demonstrated himself a war criminal
