Legislation for what? It is already illegal to hire illegals. Do you want them to also pass legislation against murder? If Republicans passed legislation are you really naive enough to think the Dem Senate and Biden would sign off on it?

If they didn't they would suffer political consequences.

Not to mention, they could have passed it several times when they controlled the Senate and the house...and the presidency for that matter.

When they walk across the boarder they are breaking the law. If they want to apply for amnesty stay out side the country and do it.
