Minor correction it's Gavin Newsom....But I call him Gavin Nuisance. It's the same here in Far Northern CA in the forests. They kicked out the loggers on BLM land (who took care of emerging fires because they worked in those forests) then they started shutting down cleaning up our forests because they decided that a 'let it burn' policy would be more ecological.

The problem is that the BLM land that skirts privately owned land is not covered by Cal Fire so a wild fire that starts in unprotected BLM land can easily encroach on private land.
