Kenosha had no police department at all in response to the riots. And assuming that some cop did shoot a suspect in the back under circumstances that may or may not have called for the use of force is therefore irrelevant. Rittenhouse may have been a dopey kid. But he had a right to try to protect his community. The mob had no right to attack him.

I am absolutely “for” self-defense especially when (due to rioting etc) the ordinary law enforcement apparatus is unavailable. You do know, I trust, that the Constitution didn’t “give” us any rights at all? Rights pre-existed that document.
