The pistol was NOT at all aimed any where near to Kyle when Kyle pulled the trigger.

You do not defend against a grab at the rifle with 6 shots at close range, when most likely he did not have to shoot at all.
And he certainly would not have needed to worry about the gun being grabbed if he had not illegally brought it along.

At first, but Kyle had a misfire and had to recycle the receiver, and during that time, Grosskreutz decided that Kyle was not the aggressive shooter he thought he was, so then raised his hands.
