We Canadians value the lives of all people because lethal action with your gun is punishment that doesn't fit the crime in most cases.
We don't, and never have shot people dead for drinking out of white only water fountains.
We don't for non-white people walking on the sidewalks.
We don't shoot people for trespassing on other's property.
We don't shoot people any number of minor crimes that Americans see as justification to murder.

We value human lives and those that don't are punished duly by our laws.
We accept a woman's right to abortion but we work together across political lines to 'discourage' behaviour that results in a woman's need for abortion.

If we're going to have an adult conversation, I expect appropriate politeness. I make no exceptions from here on in.
