Just before the Canadian election a year ago, the leader of the Conservative Party gave a big speech wherein he praised the Premier of Alberta for his sane and reasonable response to the covid pandemic in not shutting down the province or issuing mask or vaccine mandates.

Two days later, the Premier of Albert gave a big speech wherein HE apologized to the people of Alberta for his failed covid response, and not issuing vaccine mandates or lockdowns, giving Alberta the worst covid numbers in Canada.

The whole failure of the usual Republican cut and spend program in Great Britain, reminds me of that.
