Do you want all of the following to be allowed to bear arms?
1) American citizens in prison
2) American citizens committed to mental institutions.
3) American citizens not in an institutions but having been diagnosed with schizophrenia
4) American citizens who hate the US.
5) American citizens who have committed murder and vow to do it again.
Does the US Constitution mention anything about having the exact same firearm as anyone else?
And a blackpowder revolver fits that very well.
The 2nd amendment says American citizens have the right to bear arms. It does NOT say you have a right to the same arms others have.
A blackpowder revolver is not some toy. It is a full fledged firearm. It does not fire cartridges. That is not guaranteed by the 2nd amendment.
These revolvers were carried in the Civil War and for the taming of the west. Wild Bill Hickok carried a pair of them. Was he defenseless?
