Our gun problem is Vastly overstated.

They use the word 'Homicides' which includes Police Shootings and suicides. Yes, suicide is a homicide. As is a Police shooting.

And while we do have a gun problem, the vast, OVERWHELMING majority of the criminal deaths caused by guns is by Illeaglly Owned guns. Very, VERY, VERY few are caused by legally owned guns.

We're a big Country. Lots of open spaces. We can't have a Cop every few feet like you do.

We concist of 3,809,525 square miles while the entire UK is only 94,354 square miles. We also have far more open territory. Lots of Land, lots of Farms and Tiny little towns. We can't patrol that size area so people need to arm themselves.

We're also not crazy about Law Enforcement in General. We didn't have ANY until about 60 years after that little tiff we had with your people. We don't like it. I don't like it.

There is a price to be paid for being Free. Maybe someday you'll understand. Maybe some day you'll be a Citizen instead of a Subject.

It's a fact that the vast majority of gun owners support universal background checks, including the vast majority of NRA members (who are only 4 percent of all gun owners).

They also support waiting periods and regulating gun shows.

In other words, common sense regulation.
