Zone1 King James Version, Douay-Rheims, or other?

Electronic or online Bibles are the most popular these days.

Kinda a shame as the printed usually have more features than the free online versions.
Rote scripture memorization is also down from what it once was.

Meaning....if someone wanted to "edit" scriptures they could likely get away with it for a while. But the resulting war would be rather hard to get past.
And yes, a war would result. Every time the Bible has been edited to remove "trouble" passages the result was a war....civil and otherwise.

Today, the "editing" comes from vocabulary synonym choices and common reading habits. All the text is there and included in printed Bibles although it may be as a footnote.

Only a small portion of societies actually read the Bible today with an even smaller percentage understanding what it means. Hence the theological debates and discussions.

John 8 is a prime example. The bulk of this chapter belongs in Mark....and the meaning lost on most people even though its a closed end story. But it remains in John due to tradition.

There are only 4 parent Latin Vulgate copies that vary widely from each other. Alexandrian texts tend to be more accurate. However there are sometimes variations that can be corrected by looking at the Syriac manuscripts. The ancient Septuagint manuscripts are usually not very accurate as the Jews were unconcerned about them. Most copies differ from each other just as much as Latin Vulgate copies do.

However, the Dead Sea Scrolls do offer insights that today's modern Bibles created from looking at ALL the manuscripts to form a conglomerated original text to translate from into English are the most accurate with exceptions given to the autographs. (Which we do not have)

There are zero major differences between any manuscripts that would cause a change in major theological positions. Despite the KJVO claims. (With exceptions noted for Jehova Witnesses who created their own translation because everyone else's was destroying their extremely "unique" theologies)

"My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?" Is the Only Accurate Reporting in the Bible

Jesus got even for the Crucifixion, which he never expected to happen. The philosopher Bruno pointed that out and got burned at the stake for his insight.

Ummmm
You are nuts.

My God, My God. Why have you forsaken me? My couch is soaked with my tears....

It's the 22nd Psalm.
Nobody had the hubris to actually put chapter numbers and verses in scriptures until the printing press and proliferation of the Bible began. (Which these divisions were used to confuse people and distract from Catholic Church actions)

At any rate, long before this numbering, other means of calling out which songs to sing and which scripture passages to read on prescribed days existed.

There were not any AV booths to put the words up on the screen. People had memorized the songs. People also memorized the entire 5 books of Moses as well.

Jesus was calling out that song/Psalm because of it's specific meaning....which is found plainly towards the end of the song. The first part was plainly evident. It was as much prophesy as it was song.

"Jesus got even"....
Dude! You are nuts. God doesn't get even. Doesn't need to. There are Natural Laws and consequences at play when 2 of the three God-head come to visit. God/Jesus warned them constantly that there was Hell to pay unless they changed their ways....instead they killed Him.

Only mankind has enough hubris to think they can kill their Creator. The rest of the universe strongly disagrees. It may not be sentient...but that will not stop it. And the measure of common grace which allows you to blaspheme won't be sufficient to save you should you exceed that measure as the Jews did.

And the philosopher Bruno....he is dead. Jesus is not. Nuff said on that.

"Render Therefore Unto Caesar" Tells It All

Twist and shout, spinning like a top. As he got more and more power, Jesus became more and more delusional. His original mission was to distract the Jews away from revolt by preaching a pacifist message.

If you ever read the Bible you would understand exactly how delusional you are.
