Kimmel's back!

But now Sinclair is choosing to continue the preemption of their own accord. That's not censorship, that's a business decision.

Sinclair Broadcast Group on Monday evening announced they won’t broadcast Jimmy Kimmel Live! across its ABC affiliate stations after ABC caved."

Commentary:
So it looks like a total of 62 stations will pre-empt (not air) Kimmel's show tonight....

Resorting to name calling tells me all I need to know about your argument. Thanks for confirming it.
Kimmel is back however if you live in these cities, the ABC affiliates will be preempting his show.

Nope it doesn't.. Outfield has highest TV ratings but add in the You Tube alone and he is well behind Colbert...

You only want to look at one medium, TV... Look at it in total, online, various platforms...

TV is becoming less and less important to content creation... Fox News bucks this because of its demographic..

But I could laugh about Gutfeld online numbers, they are a less than a quarter of Colbert... Jimmy dong similar online numbers..

Trump continuously bleats on about TV Ratings... His voters watch more linear tv than non voters but generally that method of how a show is doing is gone...
You think Colbert and Kimmel are beating FOX News when it comes to YouTube clips? Are you ******* crazy dude? :cuckoo:

They were clearly jokes aimed at MAGANUTS and did not tarnish Mr. Kirk. Unlike the unconstitutional use of executive power by Benedict Donald and his regime, who attempt to subvert the 1st Amendment, which apparently Mr. Kirk treasured even for his outspoken political critics or opponents.

For years it's been done across the pubic airwaves. Rush Limbaugh is the perfect example, he claimed his spiels were news. But his lawyer would still claim he was an entertainer. The difference is Rush's Dittoheads truly believe Rushes was news.
What Kimmel said wasn't funny to most people which is reflected in his suspension by ABC, (Disney) and all the other broadcast networks. As has been said over and over, Kimmel's show was and is bleeding viewership. Even after he has been reinstated other owners of newtworks still won't air his show on affiliates.

Rush had his own network (EIB). Liberals wanted to reinstate the fairness doctrine (which got rid of political opinion) in order to get rid of Limbaugh. In 1961, powerful liberals urged the FBI, IRS and FCC to go after right wing opinions in a now famous memo. More here

So, don't give my your holier than thou lecture about manipulating the FCC, Democrats have been doing that for decades.

Rush broadcast across public AM radio waves. Governed by the same FCC as the Television networks. They never brought the Fairness Doctrine back though did they? The same loop hole that allowed Rush and all entertainers, especially late night comedy, to comment and make satire out of current events, they weren't news shows. Even when the doctrine was being enforced.

Nice try but, Kimmel was dropped because the networks did not want to carry him anymore due to his nasty comment right after Kirk's assassination and his descending viewership. There is an FCC regulation that prohibits the falsification of news as well. Rush never made such ridiculous comments and also, he was not affiliated with the broadcast networks. If Rush said anything that the affiliates did not like, they could have refused to carry his show but, they did not because he didn't alienate his listeners.

The issue is providing false information.

Nice dodge.

Suddenly? No, local affiliate speech and choice in news coverage including specific language used, has been dictated by the controlling mega corporations for some time.
Jimmy Kimmel is not news coverage. He is an aging late night host who lost almost a million viewers from Jan thru Aug.

The FCC chairman's mob boss like threat was made public before the two mega conglomerates came out and ordered their affiliate stations to drop him. Makes it look like a conspiracy against comedians who attack MAGANUTS and Trumpybear. The FCC regulation that prohibits the falsification of news applies to broadcast news not broadcast comedy. Rush broadcast on public AM Radio. Air waves covered by the FCC.

Bullshit. Your fever dreams are not reality.

Seriously did you ever listen to Rush? Regardless it doesn't apply to a late night comedy show's and their hosts monolog.

Surprised that Seattle/Tacoma and Portland are on the list----too bad Spokane will still show the no-talent POS. Meh, I don't watch it anyway.
