He was adjudicated by a judge to be a member of MS 13 and already had a deportation order. The only mistake is yours, as usual.

You confuse a process where they determine the next of kin of the prisoner, and attempt to award temporary guardianship to the closest family member. And return the child to the parents custody when they're released from prison.

Trumps family separation wouldn't bother to even document who the parent was. And would put the children into foster or group care, with no hope of reuniting them with their parent.

It means most of the executive positions were created by law, and as such controlled by law, not by the executive.

Sounds a lot like the evidence of Saddam Hussein having WMD's. A guy codenamed "screwball" provided evidence that his original handlers didn't even trust. But the administration swallowed his story, and the rest is history.

Wrong. Positions created by congress under law, remain under law. Those executive positions that the president picks (sometimes with advice and consent of the senate) become discretionary under the presidency. Those positions created under law, like those in the federal civil service, specify by law under what conditions they can be fired. And none are at the pleasure of the president.
