President-elect Donald J. Trump announced on Saturday that he would name Charles Kushner, the wealthy real estate executive and father of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to serve as ambassador to France, handing one of his earliest and most high-profile ambassador appointments to a close family associate….

The announcement was the latest step in a long-running exchange of political support between the two men. Mr. Kushner received a pardon from Mr. Trump in the final days of his first term for a variety of violations and then emerged as a major donor to Mr. Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Mr. Kushner, 70, pleaded guilty in 2004 to 16 counts of tax evasion, a single count of retaliating against a federal witness and one of lying to the Federal Election Commission in a case that became a lasting source of embarrassment for the family. As part of the plea, Mr. Kushner admitted to hiring a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, a witness in a federal campaign finance investigation, and sending a videotape of the encounter to his sister.

Charles Kushner is another Trump nominee who exemplifies the high and rigorous moral standards his Administration has set for itself and the American people.

The French have become exceedingly antisemitic, due to all the Muslims coming in. They won’t be too happy with a Jew.

The convicted felon that was pardoned by the convicted felon?

Good. I hope he makes fun of their English while he's there. He should spend his time doing bad Inspector Clousau imitations whenever he has to talk to them.

In other news ...

Glad they were able to save it. They should have deported the vermin who were laughing and cheering the fire. I think soon they will. Jews are actually safer in frigging Bulgaria than France.

It seems you are correct. If you want a position in the Trump White House, you must have been accused, tried, convicted or pardoned for a crime.
It also doesn't hurt if the nominee is a sexual degenerate, a former drug user, a self serving billionaire oligarch, a fascist etc.

Any bottom feeder will have a role.

Oh yeah, the guy that Trump pardoned he was convicted of voter fraud, felony.. Birds of a feather, you know.

Trump isn’t a convicted felon. The other guy…..yes…..but let’s face it, the only reason Biden isn’t a convicted felon is because the prosecutor found him too demented to stand trial.
Trump is a convicted felon and a convicted fraudster....oh yeah, he is a convicted sexual assaulter....

Lefties have short memories. Joe Kennedy was appointed ambassador to England by FDR but recalled when he seemed to support the Nazi regime. His son, JFK appointed his own brother as Attorney General to cover his ass.

Yeah, the last eighty years the Kennedys were convicted felons.

JFK authorized brother Bobby to use the CIA to organize, train and equip an illegal army to invade a sovereign country, Cuba, and abandoned the army at the Bay of Pigs and there wasn't even an investigation. The fix was in with Camelot. Fifty years later they indicted Trump on frivolous charges related to financial deals. Get the difference?
