Chiefs in 2031 will leave Kansas City to a Domed stadium in Kansas City. 25 miles from the current stadium which is not domed. How did Kansas City get created in two states next to each other?
Missouri said nope. Kansas said definitely and are paying a bit more than 50 percent of it.The Chiefs aren't building a new stadium. Sadly the taxpayers will be on the hook for it.

Approximately $1.8 billion
Taxpayers in Kansas will contribute approximately $1.8 billion to the construction of the new domed stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs, which is part of a $3.3 billion project. This funding will be generated through STAR bonds, which use sales tax revenue from the development area, and will not involve new taxes on Kansans. The state portion of the project is expected to be covered by revenue from the stadium and related entertainment venues, ensuring that the costs are supported by growth rather than additional taxes.

KC Mo has always had a smug attitude. They are larger of the two Kansas Cities by far.Kansas City is an odd place. Like a shared bedroom where the siblings do not get along and drew a white line down the middle and told each other to "Stay on your side!"
Johnson County Kansas has a lot of money. Olathe is one of the bigger cities in Johnson County and is not land locked. Plenty of room to the west and south to grow. I am sure Johnson County business folks are drooling over this one.It is two separate cities. Kansas city, Kansas very small across the way,
And much Bigger Kansas City, Missouri
I guess nowhere good with Tax breaks on the MO side to build new?
Kansas desperate to get in the biggest leagues. Perhaps?
They'll be happy to have it.The Chiefs aren't building a new stadium. Sadly the taxpayers will be on the hook for it.
I have been in both cities. I had said they are two separate cities. I spent more time at Kansas City, MO than in Kansas. Kansas got very creative and the new domed stadium is slated to be close to the racetrack. It is two separate cities. Kansas city, Kansas very small across the way,

Plus residents living in MO can just drive to the new stadium once it is built. Highway 70 moves traffic well when I drove it.They'll be happy to have it.
It will save them having to travel all that way since a lot of K.C. season ticket holders come out of the wealthiest part of the metro (Johnson County).
It is kind of amazing that baseball has no domed stadiums. That I know of anyway.KC Mo has always had a smug attitude. They are larger of the two Kansas Cities by far.
But Olathe isn't in Wyandotte County. It's in Johnson County to the south (I lived in the city of Lenexa for a long time). It's a great area (often in the top ten for non urban quality of life).
Arrowhead is a small stadium, but I hate to see it fade away. It's located next to the Royals stadium so I am wondering if that is also on the block.
ESPECIALLY the refs.they have wayyyyy too much ******* power.Big money, TV, referees, clock and rules and are screwing up the NFL.
KC has great owners. Hope Kansas State knows what lies ahead?

The metro is ringed by I-435 which, along with I-70 jams up pretty good on game day. We'll see just where things land.Plus residents living in MO can just drive to the new stadium once it is built. Highway 70 moves traffic well when I drove it.
If you are talking about the NASCAR track, that is located in Wyandotte County where KC Kansas is.I have been in both cities. I had said they are two separate cities. it's odd, KC is in was settled first in missouri but they bought land across the river as it grew there are two but each with it's own mayor so yes, they are moving 25 miles away or so and kansas probably has a better tax rateChiefs in 2031 will leave Kansas City to a Domed stadium in Kansas City. 25 miles from the current stadium which is not domed.
