Apparently the guy they had initially detained was observed in the crowd with everyone else when the event occured after reviewing the footage, so the footage cleared him of any involvement.

Reason he was detained was because someone in the crowd pointed to him and said he was the guy.

The video footage cleared him, though.

That's what I've read about it anyway.

He was wise to exercise his right to remain silent upon being initially detained, though, as he was heard to do on the video footage of his detainment.

Interesting, though unfortunately predictable, to read all of the automatic, arbitrary knee jerk claims made about the guy no sooner than the video of him being detained surfaced, though. I kind of just shook my head reading it all.

This, unfortunately, is what otherwise law abiding people are going to be up against moving forward...
