After reviewing multiple forums and numerous new sources. From what I gather it was a shooter on the rooftop with a suppressed rifle. Not an up-close shot from the audience.

Kirk seemed like a decent guy and great family man. I am always surprised by people who follow Trump given his criminal record and lying constantly. Something doesn't fit, but I admit I don't know the missing the pieces. What is it that allows people to follow a con-artist grifter?

True but the sound of a rifle going off at a distance can be confusing as where the shot came from. Attendees will look where other attendees are looking. I'll say whoever is closest to the shooter should have a footage and perhaps waiting for an award announcement.
