I know someone like that IRL. When I asked her how she can vote for someone whose proposals would bring down this country, she told me that the Republicans in Congress would stop her. That’s because we are primarily capitalist but with some basic socialist-type policies like welfare. Kamala wants to make us primarily socialist by introducing new policies like free house down payments. She also wants to tax businesses more.

Basically, she wants to give money to lower-income or undisciplined people for unnecessary things (like owning a home) by taking money from higher-income or disciplined people.

It took me until age 40 to buy my townhouse, after 15 years of saving and earning enough money to afford everything that entails. Why should I have to pay for a 25-year-old to get one, ESPECIALLY since they will have no skin in the game and more likely to default?

We need to get away from the leftist idea that all people are equal. Some are capable of home ownership, and others are not.

But he put forth some very good policies that he DID do. He said he would make the border more secure, and he did. He said he would lower taxes, and he did. He said he would create a more business-friendly environment, and he did - thereby seeing real wage growth. He said he would keep the world more peaceful, and advanced Middle East progress toward peace with the Abraham Accords.

Under the Democrats, we have a massive invasion of low-level foreigners competing with our lower-income citizens for housing and food….skyhigh food and housing inflation…two major wars….horrible antisemitic actions on liberal campuses.

So it still comes down to: do you vote for the person advancing good policies, hoping that at least some of them get through…..or do you vote for the person advancing bad policy, and hope that Congress will block them all?

This sounds like legislation introduced by Sen. Elizabeth Warren that would ban “grossly excessive prices” as determined by the Federal Trade Commission. Business violations would carry a penalty of up to 5% of annual revenue. This would effectively let the FTC set prices. But what is an excessive price? Is $4 too much for a gallon of milk in Omaha? Is it a different price in Miami? FTC Chair Lina Khan and her army of bureaucrats would presumably decide.

I didn’t know enough about the bad examples you gave to comment, so I chose to focus on the GOOD things Trump proposed and accomplished. Kamala, otoh, doesn’t have one single good proposal.

As far as gouging, the point you have made is that she’s just making an empty “promise” she’s knows she can’t fulfill in order to fool the useful idiots. But my point is she’s making a BAD proposal that, if it did go through, would destroy the economy.

So we are back to the choice between:

• a radical leftist who is proposing bad policies, but they won’t go through, or…
• a moderate who is proposing good policies, and some will go through

It comes down to your saying you are going to vote for the candidate with the bad policies, with the hope she’s stopped. No offrnse, but that sounds dumb to me.
