We have spent way more than whats been spent in Iraq. The official/unofficial war on poverty supposedly started during the Johnson administration, but FDR ew deal bullshit was the true beginning. All of those trillions and we still got poverty.

2K a month would not solve poverty. Those people live below the poverty line in part because they don't understand money. They would spend every dime and be in the same situation when the money stopped.

That is what capitalist want people to do spend money it is how our economy works.

Instead of giving money away that the government doesn't have, why not do away with all taxes? Then everyone can be wealthy?

Doesn't help when you have no job during a 10% unemployment rate.
