The Ak-47 was/is a cheap and durable mass produced weapon.Any top 10 list of best weapons of all-time will have the AK-47 in no. 1 every time. So how should we memoralize him? Dip the AK in gasoline and light it on fire? Then shoot center-mass without a problem?

Please point out where "lefties" have every heralded violence.
Thanks.
Revolutionary war will be complicated and protracted. It includes mass struggle and clandestine struggle, peaceful and violent, political and economic, cultural and military, where all forms are developed in harmony with the armed struggle.
Without mass struggle there can be no revolution.
Without armed struggle there can be no victory.

The german STG44 only similarity to the AK-47 is in the looks and layout.
The internal mechanisms are totally different.
And the bolt is closer to the M1 Garand than to StG44 bolt. ....

I've heard that too but the AK-47 wasn't near the weapon the STG was because the russians couldn't duplicate the German ramp and extractor.
When the early M-16s became too dangerous to carry most of us went back to the M-14 for it's heavier round and reliabllity. But they were heavy and the stocks had a habit of splitting from the heat and humidity. Here's how we solved that.
It should also be remembered that GIs who picked up an AK to carry were often in the soup in thick cover because when we heard an AK report, we directed fire at it. oops.
