I think there were a lot of factors that contributed to the Simpson verdict. Ineptitude on the part of the prosecutors and the Judge, misconduct by the police, a lot of simmering anger over race relations over the previous decade, and the fact that OJ was a celebrity.

But he was guilty, and the Jury still gave him a pass, and shame on them.

Similarly, we had a bunch of chances to stop Trump. The GOP could have stopped him at hte convention, the Electors could hvae stood up and said no, the congress could have rejected him.

They all could have. They didn't. Even in the face of pretty compelling evidence he colluded with our enemies and that he is completely nuts.

You don't understand our way of government. Our founders created an election process where so many people got one representative. But that was found to be unfair because the more populated states would be able to control the less populated states. So they created the Senate where everybody had two representatives no matter if you are in Rhode Island or Texas.

Our Electoral College was created to follow that equity our houses have. Majority rule is mob rule. The people in NYC should not have more power to elect a President than four other states.
