Hard to describe ?

It taste better than vodka or gin but I like rum

If you want to try a good whiskey I suggest a good 18 year old minimum single malt. My regular drinkin whiskey is an 18 year Macallan.

I wonder if that's what I had and I'm disremembering...it was long ago. Gin is my go to for a cocktail. Not wild about any of the brown stuff.

You've never had whiskey? I would say it's more like wood smoke taste than sweet. It's more sour than sweet I think.

My favorite drink is Jameson whiskey with Ginger Ale soda in it.

EDIT: it's not as dry as Gin.

You've never had whiskey? I would say it's more like wood smoke taste than sweet. It's more sour than sweet I think.

Let's hope Toro doesn't read that. He'll give you another fatherly lecture. Make your bed, put on your shirt, never put soda in good whiskey. That kind of thing.

There are some sweet whiskeys. Crown Royal has a "sour apple" flavor of their canadian whiskey, and it's quite sweet. I don't like that kind of taste in whiskey, though...I mean if I wanted sweet, I'd go get some fruit-flavored vodka or something

Yeah, I went on a cruise years ago and fell in love with their mojitos. I tried a few different things to replicate them and just couldn't. Meanwhile I had a bottle of coconut rum sitting around forever because I don't like booze that sweet.
