Electronics manufacturer Foxconn is scaling back its plans to produce LCD panels in Wisconsin, a company executive told Reuters.
“In Wisconsin we’re not building a factory. You can’t use a factory to view our Wisconsin investment,” said Louis Woo, special assistant to Foxconn CEO Terry Gou.
The planned manufacturing plant had been touted by President Trump, who made an announcement about the project at the White House in 2017 and delivered remarks at a groundbreaking ceremony for the plant last year.
Foxconn originally planned to produce LCD television screens, but Woo told Reuters that those plans could be scaled back or canceled altogether. He pointed to the high costs of making television screens in the U.S., according to Reuters.
A source also told Reuters that the Foxconn project is likely to create only 1,000 jobs in Wisconsin by 2020, after the company originally said the plant would hire 5,200 people by that point. .

It's just another example of how out of control greed and tax cuts are sending American jobs to other nations and doing a lot of harm to our nation.
High tax rates will stop this. When a company doesn't have to generate huge revenues to pay those millions to the CEOs, executives and stockholders, the company doesn't send our jobs to other nations looking for the cheapest labor. The company can also keep their prices much lower because they don't have to generate such huge revenues for the CEOs, executives and stockholders to suck out of the company. They also can pay employees a proper living wage, provide insurance and other proper benefits.
Greedy people won't take more money past a cap that will result in that money to be taxed at a much higher rate that it's not worth taking that much money.
If Americans honestly want to stop our jobs from being sent to other nations and want to stop this race to the bottom, stop the out of control greed.
Ambitions are very good.
Greed is very bad.

How high a tax rate are you willing to pay?
Seems you can't read. And #24 said more for a time to fix the national debt DOPer.Notice that no damn liberal will ever tell us how how a rate they are willing to pay? Nor will they tell us what they plan to replace corporations with. All they can do is scream for higher taxes on the other guy!
I live in Wisconsin. It is my understanding that FoxConn gets the incentives AFTER the jobs are created.

I would hardly say I'm a liberal. But vote liberal over gop/DOPer plans most times, as they are better ones.Seems you can't read. Geez, dude. Baz crossed the line from being a mere "liberal" to becoming a full-blown "radical leftist" a long time ago.

An Asian company. No surprise
But the thousand additional jobs they are bringing in is a thousand more than there were.

"If Foxconn invests at least $9 billion in its plant as it has said it will -- but hires only 1,500 workers, not the 13,000 it says there are potential for -- the incentives paid would exceed $1 million per job."
I'm sure the DOPer leaders will sell the taxpayers out for 1500 jobs there.
DOPers wonder why most states with seaports and real easy access vs states that need to buy jobs.
Or like how ...
This City Will Pay You $10,000 To Move There (And That's Not All)
TexAss is not growing as much these days after all the tax breaks they gave companies to move there. As they're not meeting the infrastructure promised.
