Judge rules deportation was “an illegal act”

Nonsense..."at a loss"....Bullshit.
obviously you are confused

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement expelled Kilmar Abrego Garcia last month despite an immigration judge’s 2019 ruling that shielded him from deportation to his native El Salvador, where he faced likely persecution by local gangs.

Not confused at all...

This guy was a MS13 member, and an illegal with a standing deportation order...What's confusing about that?

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — A federal judge on Friday ordered the Trump administration to arrange for the return of a Maryland man to the United States after he was mistakenly deported to a notorious El Salvador prison, while a U.S. government attorney was at a loss to explain what happened.

Before she issued her ruling, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis described Abrego Garcia’s deportation as “an illegal act” and pressed Justice Department attorney Erez Reuveni for answers, many of which he didn’t have.

Now we're getting somewhere.
Appointed by: Barack Obama
I need to see nothing else but this!

The asylum system has been abused for decades by these line jumpers...

"The U.S. government has long-argued that Abrego Garcia resident has ties to MS-13, a criminal gang that began in immigrant communities in Los Angeles with ties to Central and South American countries."

And to address your faux, tear jerking reporting on the immigration order....

"In 2019 during an immigration hearing, a judge issued a removal order, but added a clause preventing Abrego Garcia's removal to El Salvador because there was enough evidence he could be persecuted if returned home."

So, spare us the fake outrage...

this guy has chosen his life path, now he is back home...I don't see a problem.
do you understand the word preventing? Judgement rendered, you have no say.

the 2019 ruling is invalid now, even if it was legit then.

The rival gangs have been emasculated by Presidente Bukele, and can't persecute anyone including Garcia.

The Tremendous nation of El Salvador went from the most dangerous place on the globe for crime to the safest.

The mistake wasn't in removing this man, but rather removing him to El Salvador...So, easy fix, get ahold of El Salvador, and move him to Columbia, or anywhere else BUT the US....He's not coming back.

Homan says he doesn't care what the judges say.

Trump will back him up.

That is what a Dictator does. If you or a family member are deported (for any reason) do not post and ask for help.
The answer is NO.

Nobody is ruling on the issue of presidential power.
Besides, you are wrong. Federal courts (along with the SCOTUS) are all part of the constitutional three COEQUAL branches of government which exist to serve as checks and balances on one another. GEEZ!
Why don't you go buy a used civics textbook somewhere and read up on this?
A federal court steps up and does it's J-O-B checking The Executive Branch's power and you MAGAts are about to stroke out!
Settle down. Even though you would obviously prefer a king or dictator Trump is JUST the POTUS.
He doesn't have ALL the power. The founding fathers made sure of that. They spread EQUAL power among all three branches of government, The Judicial Branch (including all federal courts) is only one of those three branches.
Just FYI, the other branch is The Legislative which includes both houses of the U.S. Congress which is also supposed to serve as a check and balance on presidential power....but it isn't doing it's job. Be glad the courts are.
The three "co-equal" branches of government are vested in Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court.
Congress defines the role of "inferior courts". Inferior courts do NOT have the same authority as the Supreme Court. There is no way based on the Constitution that District Courts can reduce the president's Article 2 powers.

"However, because Congress controls the budget, jurisdiction, and structure of the federal courts, the judiciary as a branch is better described as largely dependent on Congress rather than independent of it. Although the Constitution, not Congress, creates the Supreme Court, it is Congress that decides whether to create lower federal courts, how to arrange them, how many judges will be appointed to them, and whether to abolish them. Congress also has the power to grant jurisdiction to and withdraw jurisdiction from, lower federal courts. Moreover, although judges have the power to issue final judgments, they must rely on the executive for enforcement.

That's a lie...Although, the longer these judges rule based on their ideology, and defy their own ethics rules, the more they become irrelevant....
