Our government operates at a huge deficit. If the amount of federal income taxes we all paid to the federal government came back to us in the form of goods and services to the exact penny, that would not be the case.

You can be very sure that every cop knows about the federal COPS program, and what it does for them. All their shiny new equipment, all the hirings, all the training.
